If you are building a new house, heavy rains may cause concern for building a new fence to go with it. If you build a fence and the ground is too saturate, you might have to repair it after the ground has settled.

Usually there are only a coule of areas to worry about after new home construction; the area immediately around the house, and the area around newly dug water line trenches. You can repeatedly water the ground every few weeks and let it dry in between, or simply wait a year for things to settle. Call a local home builder or contact the construction company that built your home with any questions.
