In most households, the kitchen is the most commonly used room. Not only does it provide you the space for food preparation, many homes use the kitchen as the centerpiece of their household. Cleaning your kitchen with the correct substances is not only important to maintain it's value, but also to keep your family and community safe from harmful chemicals. It should be a rule of thumb in your household that no bleach cleaners be used in the kitchen area. Bleach, if consumer can be life threatening and there is no need for the use of bleach (or substitutes for bleach) in the kitchen. Also, when using household countertop and floor cleaners, ensure that food is not out or around these cleaners. Many of them will claim to be “safe to us”, but chemicals many sometimes cause allergic reactions in you, your spouse or children. Finally, clean your kitchen on a daily basis. Leaving food crumbs attracts little critters that can further damage your walls and be a bothersome of costly process to remove from your home.
