Category: Carpet-Cleaning - Topic: Comparing Carpet Cleaning Methods
Carpet cleaning is sometimes more of an art than a task. There are many different carpet shampooers and chemicals that consumers and professionals work with. Because the method to clean carpets will depend on the stain and also the type and/or age of carpet, you must either choose a shampoo or chemical cleaning agent. Both have pluses and minuses. A shampoo that is not professionally done, will allow your carpet oils to attract dirt faster after the cleaning. However, a steam method, if not professionally done will allow your carpet fibers to separate. For ideal carpet cleaning use a combination of both. Shampoo your carpet with lots of soap suds (test a small area before applying everywhere) and little water. Too much water is never good for the carpet. Follow the heavy sud shampoo up with a professional steam cleaning.
