In the mid-west, or Florida, flooding sometimes occurs because of rains or storms. If you have hardwood flooring and want to preserve it, the first thing to do
is to mop up the excess water and remove the debris.
To avoid warping, the hardwood floor needs to be dried; do not use heat for drying.
The best and easier idea is to open windows and doors
to allow the air to dry the hardwood floor.
Additionally, put up a high volume fan to help speed drying, if possible.
And remember to call a local restoration and cleaning expert for help.
