Certain types of curtians drapes and blinds do not have to be removed to be cleaned by a professional. Most window covering professionals have an "inject/extract" process that will place a protective solution that wont discolor or damage fabric, but, at the same time, remove dirt and dust. Professional on-site window covering cleaning may be the best option as washing with water and detergent isn't an option of cleaning very nice window coverings and removing to dry clean could cost as much or more than hiring a company to come and clean each window covering. .
