When choosing the best color blinds for dark hardwood floors, and the walls are a velvet tan color, the safest color choice would be an ivory, cream color. Stick to earthy tones and definitely not jewel flavors. Maybe a sage green would work or a more brown tone for a dramatic look. The frame color should also be considered and can be very helpful to choosing the color of the blinds as well. Another suggestion would be 2" slatted faux/real wood, with wider tapes.
