Its not always the case that your 100% cotton draperies and curtains are washable. When you wash your curtains or drapes they may shrink, fade, and lose their protective insulation. Never pre-wash the fabric when it first arrives. If you must wash your curtains and/or draperies have the dry cleaned. Protecting your investment in your draperies and curtains are very important and washing them in a standard machine is likely to damage the integrity of the finer cottons used.
