Mildew around your tub can make your entire bathroom look and feel dirty. When it comes to mildew around your tub not all caulking is made equal. It's important that if you have mildew growth on a regular basis, replace your caulking to "mildew-proof" caulking made especially for tubs and bathroom tile. Also, mildew problems in the bathroom are caused by a lack of airflow. If you have a bathroom fan make sure its running at least 10 minutes after the shower has completed Also, during warmer months, leave bathroom windows open so air can flow through. A basic rule to follow is: limiting long-term moisture will eliminate mildew growth.
