Category: Bathroom - Topic: Replacing Silicone Around Bath

Silicon can be very tough to remove around your bathroom area. If you have patience and a Saturday afternoon, it can be done with rubbing alcohol, a utility knife and a little hard work. Use the utility knife to cut the silicon away, then use the rubbing alcohol to clean off the extra pieces. If you are replacing the silicon, there are many good products, all of which include mold and mildew protectant. Be generous in the amount you use to reapply. When it’s be applied, the extra can be pulled away for your utility knife, or you can buy a caulking tool which will serve the same function. The caulking tool will provide you the best chance for a clean look when the project is completed.
