Removing hard water deposits off your basement or outside brick can be done relatively easily. A simple 50/50 solution of muriatic acid and water should remove the excess minerals. Make sure you use gloves and long sleeves when working with this acid. It is toxic and can cause severe damage and allergic reactions. Do not reuse the material you used to apply the solution and remove the hard water deposits from your walls.
