Changing your porch area from a 1 season area to accommodate all 4 seasons will add value and make your home more enjoyable throughout every month of the year. If your porch area is already enclosed there are a few things that can be done to keep your new patio warm and ready for 4-season use. Insulating your roof and underneath the floor are the two key steps to converting your porch/den area. Insulating your roof can be done using SM insulation which can be placed between the rafters and the space below your roof. Insulating your floors can be done by insulating between the joists and bottom of the floor. This is more difficult and should probably be done by a professional as codes vary in different parts of the country.
