When you use 6" fiber glass insulation to insulate your basement, be sure to cover the batting with plastic before you attch it to 2X4's or 2X6's or whatever you use for mounting. Make sure to put plastic under the 2x4's on the floor to prevent the wood from soaking up moisture from the basement floor.
Insulating a basement adds value to your house. Be sure to place the insulation more than 2" below the frost line or according to your local code requirements. Call an insulation specialist for recommendations.
