Category: Tree-Service - Topic: Damage Due To Moving Tree
Moving a tree, such as a large diameter maple, can cause severe stress to the tree and make it difficult for it to thrive. Moving may result in low leave production, and the cracking of the trunk on one side. This may be due to sun scald, caused by the warming of the bark during the day and the cold night temperatures harming or killing the bark. The tree might die on the damaged side and crack.
