Category: Tree-Service - Topic: Prune Rubber Tree

Rubber trees that have grow too high to support the weight of the branches need to be pruned. To force a rubber tree to fill out, and grow with a better supporting growth, pruning is necessary.

Rubber plants are very resilient plant and can tolerate pruning easily. Prune the rubber tree to the desired height and it should accomodate the pruning easily. Remember to take no more than a third though, just to make it easier on the tree to come back, and also some leaves.

As part of the pruning process, you can harvest the tip of what you prune off, apply some rooting hormone, and start growing another rubber plant.
