If you have planted a tree, such as an oak tree, and it has stopped producing a full growth of leaves or has mistletoe at an early age, there are several things you can do to avoid this problem in the future.

Make sure that trees are not planted too deeply in the soil; the right depth is critical to proper full development. Also, remove the burlap sack that held the tree to allow the roots to spread out and not grow in a circular spiral. Proper planting depth and allowing the roots to grow correctly are important; also, avoid damaging the roots with garden tools. These simple procedures can prolong the life of your trees.
