Installing laminate (pre-fab) flooring on stairs can be done, however, because of the difficulty of installation should only be done by a professional or DIY expert. When installing flooring on stairs you will need star nosing to hold the tread and the riser together. Make sure to also glue the tread and riser pieces together. There are options to not include the star nosing, however these stairs have to be custom built to your specifications or the stair tread should have a nose already built into it.
