If the filter has lost it's prime, the suction will be lost and it will be hard to vaccumn your pool or for the filter to work. To restore the suction, check that the pump is running, and that the o-ring is clean and lubricated with Teflon lube. Fill the housing back up with water, secure the lid and restart the pump. If this procedure does not get the prime restored, call a pool service technician and ask for instructions.
