One concern when installing an outside spa is cost. Cost varies with spa size, but to run the jets and heat the spa could cost between $20-$50/month to start. Other important factors determinig costs are how long and how many times per month people visit the spa, as the cost is highest when the spa is in use. To minimize costs, spend a little extra and buy a five inch thick spa cover; the thicker the cover, the less heat lose and hence lower operating costs. Spa technology and engineering have improved and with a proper cover costs are not as high as is usually thought.
