Category: Windows - Topic: Moisture In Your House Does Involve Humidity Too
Controlling the humidity levels in your rooms throughout your house is an important step to keep condensation and mold from forming on your windows. Reducing the condensation on your window sills does involve proper insulation and caulking, but maintaining humidity levels in your home is also very important. Run a dehumidifier for at least 4 hours a day and then scale back or forward as needed to attempt to remove the condensation from your windows. If this doesn't work, maintaining the window sills by cleaning on a monthly basis is important to ensure mold/mildew doesn't begin to form.
