First a 1/4 cup of vinegar, then add a 1/4 cup of baking soda. Once this is done add 6-10 ice cubs and turn the disposal on. As the ice is crushed, the vinegar/baking soda combination will clean out excess. Once the cubes are crushed, run cold water until your garbage disposal for at least one minute. You can make the disposal smell nice by adding household products or fruit, like oranges or lemons.
