Washing machines are in constant use, and should be cleaned periodically. To clean away mineral deposits, fill the main soap dispenser of your washing machine with citric acid crystals and run a wash cycle.
Enamel that has rust spots can be covered with enamel paint. Rust stains in the tub might be alleviated by having using a professionally installed plastic tub liner.
A water hose drains into the laundry basin can cause clogging; but you can catch most of the lint by covering the hose with nylon.
Also rubber inlet hoses should be replaced by stainless steel hoses since they are more dependable will prevent flooding caused by hose failure.
