Category: Appliances - Topic: Clean Stove Top Range
To attain an absolute clean stove top ranges there are two avenues to consider: Gas ranges and electric ranges. Gas ranges are simpler to clean. If there are food spills sprinkle table salts over them allowing the moisture to be soaked up. Greasy dirt's can be rubbed out with white vinegar or lemon juice. Beforehand, though the control knobs have to be removed on the range top. Make sure they are washed in warm soapy water to sterilize them as best as possible. Before replacing the knobs make sure that they are thoroughly dried to avoid any accidents. Spraying an all-purpose cleanser on top of the range will let it soften; just remember to let it sit for awhile. As for electric range tops, the plug-in burners should be first unplugged, and then the surface has to be cleaned with a damp rag and steel wool pad Never ever submerge the electric burners in water. Electric shock could ensue if done so causing a potentially dangerous situation. Most electric ranges are fixed, if they are the range just lifts up for cleaning. Spray the surface with an all-purpose cleanser and dry the surface. Aluminum drip pans should be kept under the heating elements to prevent oil from entering the range. Last but not least, apply a coating of mineral oil or cooking oil to prevent the burner from rusting over.
