If you refrigerator compressor is hot this may or may not be a problem. Normally, compressors are quite hot when they are running correctly. If your compressor isn't turning on and off (you dont hear the clicking sound) the heat of the compressor is probably natural. If, however, the freezer and fridge are acting up (turning on and off, or making funny sounds), call a local appliance professional. They'll have the correct tools and techniques to test the compressor and make sure it works correctly.
