Tulips are beautiful flowers. Planting tulips is easy, but grow best when the bulbs are first planted when the soil temperature is a cool sixty degrees- usually in the fall depending on the geography. The bulbs should be planted at a depth of about eight to ten inches inches. Pointed the bulbs end up and place them approximately six to eight inches apart in odd numbered groups. Fertilizer for tulip bulbs is not a requirement, but a good compost may help them to grow.
