Category: Paint-Painting - Topic: Filling Pesky Holes Before Painting
Fixing small cracks and holes in your walls before beginning a painting project is an important early step in the painting process. When filling the holes don’t think about using caulking, but rather a product called Spackle. Spackle is distributed from a variety of manufacturers and can be purchased at your local hardware store. Apply the Spackle with a putty knife (if you don’t have a putty knife, use a butter knife). After the Spackle has been applied let it sit for a few hours, the flatten with the putty knife and continue your painting project.
