Preparing for your painting project is an important step to ensure that you don’t damage your carpet (flooring), baseboards or furniture in the room. Before painting a room, remove everything from the room. Lay tarp on the flooring and use painters tape to fix the edges of the walls and ceilings. Make sure you begin by painting your corners first. Painting any corners (bullnose especially) can be very difficult. If you’re looking to paint the corners different colors make sure you remove the tape while it is still wet. Removing tape while the paint dry could cause it to partially chip.
