Category: Plumbing - Topic: Never Using Drano Is The Best Policy
At all costs, drano and other household cleaners should not be poured down your toilet, shower, or kitchen sink. Though marketers and product developers continue to have their products placed on store shelves, these "drano" type products severely damage your piping and possible community water supply. If there is a drain clog, first run warm water down the drain for a few minutes. If this doesn't work, visit a local hardware store and rent a plumbing snake. The plumbing snake will fix your drain clog and not harm your water supply. A clogged drain can also be cleaned by your local plumber. Developing a good relationship with a plumber will allow them to fix this problem very cost effectively.
