Category: Air-Conditioning - Topic: Programming Thermostat Correctly
Programming your thermostat is very important to ensure your heating cycle is energy efficient and saves you from expensive heating bills. The goal from the heat cycle is to sync it with the blower cycle. This will maximize heat recovery from the heat exchanger. If you adjust the controls and consequently make the cycle to short, the blower will only cycle within the heating mode. If your heat cycle is adjusted too long, the blower will never stop and always be running. All too often the blowing cycle is too short and residual heat ends up radiating from the heat exchanger. All homeowers need to ensure that their blower runs long enough to continue the hearing cycle.
